Meet Katie from MDiG – Women Rock Construction

Did you know that 13% of construction firms are owned by women? Women In Construction week was created to celebrate women in construction. It has quickly become a chance to raise awareness of the many opportunities to the growing number of women in the construction industry.

We spoke to Katie about her job, how she got into construction, what makes her proud about working in construction and advice she would give to young women entering the industry.

What makes you proud of working in the construction industry?

Just being in the industry for so many years, I have had MANY highs, along with some extreme lows. What makes me proud is I have now finally found my forte working for an incredible team and up and coming business who appreciate everything that I do and route for me to succeed.
